What would I need to learn to become a computer science security specialist?

As in, I want to help protect a company or anyone’s computer from being vulnerable to internet threats. What would I need to learn? I’m horrible at mathematics, but I love security. What can I do about that? Thanks in advance!

You would need some kind of fancy degree, I’m guessing?

I’ll recommend the following courses:

1. Comptia A+
2. Comptia N+
3. CCNA
4. CCNP
5. CCSP
6. Ethical hacking

In addition, a BCS in computer studies would be ok, especially in programming. And if you really want to go further, Do a CCIE. It is the top of Cisco courses. CCIE stands for Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert.
