Use the same particular software to remove the detected spyware.

Remove it from the software that detected it or:

Install Free Super Anti Spyware,

Then install and run and do a full scan using AVG Free Edition V8 Antivirus if you do not have an antivirus:

Well generally most software that scans for software has an option to either delete or quarantine items. I would suggest ad-aware and maybe scanning your computer in safe mode with networking. If you have live protection against spyware on your computer, then it will block it. Just be careful what you put into the computer when it comes to confidential information.

The scan won’t block it if it’s already installed. If you ran the scan and found it on your pc it will most likely quarentine the files with the option of removing. If you do see a quarentine list somewhere, there should be an option to remove it from there.
I actually was just dealing with a trojan problem and used several different virus/malware programs. If the above doesn’t work, search for malewarebytes and download it. It’s a free program with the option to purchase. Click full scan, let it run, it will list the harmful items it found, you click remove, it will reboot, it should be fixed. It removes stuff the big virus scanners can’t. This program is a dream.

This may be a little bit extreme for your tastes, but when my computer gets spyware, I download all of my important documents to a CD or external hard-drive, and then reinstall windows. Spyware technology is always advancing, usally one step ahead of anti spyware and anti virus technology, so you can never be too careful when it comes right down to it.
