Does a norton internet security 2011 scan need be connected to the internet when its doing a scan? just wondering
and thxs to anyone that helps :D

No it does not, but to get the most recent updates it should be. Since new malware is released daily, it’s a good idea to have a updated anti-virus software.

A security software does not need to be connected to the internet to do a scan,but however if you do not connect to the internet you will not have the lates updates that will protect you from new viruses, spam maleware, etc.

u only need to connect to the internet to update the software
