GAO urges Coast Guard to beef up its maritime security efforts

The Coast Guard has made progress in implementing a number of recommendations the Government Accountability Office (GAO) has made in past years regarding its efforts to enhance security for energy tankers and offshore energy facilities, but it still has a ways to go, the GAO’s report said on August 24.
