Can the security x-ray at the airport mess up or destroy a computer printer?

I am going across country for college, and I want to take my computer printer in my carry-on luggage, and I was wondering if the x-ray screening at the security gate messes it up. It is an hp ink jet printer, if that helps any.

It is small enough to fit in my carry on luggage and falls under the guidelines for restrictions.

im fairly certain they wont let you take that on a carry on besides the fact that its large but if they do in fact let you it wont mess it up at all

pretty sure they will not allow it as carry on
it is best to use the post office to mail it over there

I’m a traveler, i have a small printer
and i always carry it in any country i go
didn’t encounter any problem after it passed the X-ray
