my computer has a security program that I did not install, it just appeared, how do I get rid of it?
We have McAfee protection, but now a program called antispywaremaster has appeared on my computer and I did not download it. how do I get rid of it? i can not find it on my add/remove program. I think it is a virus. Please help?

Indeed, it is a trojan.
Download Avast’s free home version a/v from:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
After you install it, run it for max depth. It will take a while, but should catch the problem.
If it doesn’t fix it your only other recourse is to wipe the system and reinstall the OS.
Type regedit.exe in your run.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Go to softwares and see if you find the software there.
I’m sure thats a virus…Cant your McCafe remove it?
