    Comodo Firewall
    Avira Antivirus
    Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

All free, and when use together, better than some commercials.

You can have a look at several websites of antivirus vendors and compare the products they offer so that you find the one that’s ok for you. If you want some free antivirus programs, i suggest you downlad avira, avast or comodo free internet security. Below are the links for these products.
    Hope this helps!

the best antivirus i’ve used so far is Avast Antivirus.
it detects more viruses than AVG and it scans your entire computer in the background without slowing it down. and the best part about Avast is that it updates itself daily.

for anti-spyware/malware, i recommend you get Spybot Search & Destroy. it’s fast and thorough when it’s scanning your files and computer. it’s really useful and worth it. and the best thing about Spybot is that, it’s pretty much user friendly. (:

and for firewall, i suggest you get Comodo Internet Security. it’s a firewall that detects incoming AND outcoming connections between your computer and the internet. and it’s YOU that choose whether to let the connections/communications pass or be blocked.

everyone on this page apparently has never used a variety of AV software’s to find the best one okay AVG and Norton suck along with McAfee and Defender Pro also spy bot and Avira this is what i did and i have never had a problem i download music and everything no viruses and get alerted about what is happening on your computer
1)get a firewall protection everyone needs one the best free one is Comodo
2)get a AV protection this i would get Malwarebytes it is great
3)get a verification engine to verify different web pages and make sure they are the real web site
5)also Ccleaner to clean up your pc
4)also every so often go to this link and do a full scan and everything clean your pc and just in case http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/defau

I have been dealing with computers for years and i have delt with trojans and malware and viruses and crashes and everyday problems with computers etc…
