I’m pretty sure the security camera output is RCA. I need to feed the video from the camera into my computer for processing in Max/MSP. Please help.

You’ll need Video Capture device. I’ve used X10’s USB Video Capture Adapter I’m very happy with it. I use it with their ActiveHome Pro Software and iWitness Software.
They often have package deals, where you can get all this plus wireless devices to trigger the recording, software to allow internet access to the system (and do zillion cool things I never even thought of doing).
They even have remotely controlled Tilt & Pan bases for cameras.
My only complaint is that the resolution of some of their cheaper cameras is a little weak.
