I am using Norton Internet security 2010 for my computer and want to know what this is for?

A monthly report pop up came up and offered some tips, and this was it. the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool for Norton Internet Security. I want to know, what is this for?

It is more likely a safe copy, by running it, it takes a copy off your PC, so if you’re PC every crash you are able to restore it.

It’s an antivirus tool that you put on a CD. If you ever get a bad virus infection, that tool allows you to boot your computer from CD, run an anti-virus scan, and hopefully get rid of the infection.

You should create a Norton recovery CD if you haven’t already.

Norton Bootable Recovery Tool repairs, restores and boots severely infected, unbootable netbook PCs.
