Well, you can’t really tell until its too late… but there is a software that you can download called Ad-Aware, it stops Malicious content, Adware, and Spyware from getting into your computer.

Spyware is the software that Hackers use to get into your computer.

I’ll put the source for where to download Ad-Aware if you are interested.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it too much because hacking isn’t as easy as people might think and on top of that, most hackers have better stuff to do than hacking your computer. The truth is most users almost never get hacked.

It seems more common than it really is because the majority of people who complain about hacking download viruses or don’t keep their computers updated. When they get a virus, it gives some other person on the internet control of the computer. Then they go out crying about how they got hacked etc.

The truth is when you install a virus on your computer, YOU are the one giving permission for some stranger to access the computer. There is no hacking going on.

Any good security software will block hacking attempts, they have become quite advanced in this field. All of your ports will be cloaked and you should be invisible to the internet.
You can check you Norton firewall logs (look in settings) and it will show any attempts and blocking action taken, if any.
    Stop worrying.
ps Symantec has a service called Deepsight Analyser which works with your Norton program, and most well know firewalls, and alerts you by email of any attempted hacking activity to your pc. It’s worth a look and you may be surprised at what you find. Here is the link to get it:

Any good security software, like Bullguard or McAfee will prevent any one hacking into your computer and as you are running Norton you should be safe, so I would not worry
