Nokia Mobile releases new Android 11 build with September Security update to Nokia 1.4

Nokia Mobile has now released a new Android 11 build and the September security update 2021 to Nokia 1.4. This makes Nokia 1.4 the first Nokia smartphone to get the September patch. Check below for the update size, list of markets and the update changelog for Nokia 1.4.

Nokia 1.4 is receiving Android 11 Build V2.140 along with the September security update. It is not clear what changes this new build brings but it may have some important fixes and performance improvements.

The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in the Framework component that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to cause a permanent denial of service. The severity assessment is based on the effect that exploiting the vulnerability would possibly have on an affected device, assuming the platform and service mitigations are turned off for development purposes or if successfully bypassed.
