Meghan Markle releases explosive podcast
Meghan Markle has released her much-anticipated podcast, with the promise of sharing a new side of her life
In the first episode, the Duchess of Sussex sits down with tennis superstar Serena Williams, revealing she was criticised for her ambition when dating Prince Harry.
Meghan has expressed her desire to unpack “the boxes women have been placed in for generations”.
Meghan says the Archetypes podcast will focus on “harmful labels and stereotypes applied to women.”
During the first episode Meghan reflected on a time when her, Harry and baby Archie were travelling South Africa, for Royal duties.
A fire broke out in Archie’s room but they were instructed to carry on with their official duties.
Unbeknown to Harry and Meghan, Archie wasn’t in the room at the time, but Meghan says it was a traumatic moment in their lives.
Williams also spoke of emotional rollercoasters that she has faced in the sporting world and juggling her career while being a mum. She reflected on playing a match in 2018, after a sleepless night, because her daughter had broken her wrist.
Harry and Meghan have a contract to produce and host podcasts for Spotify. They will be produced by their company, Archewell Audio.
The first podcast episode follows a turbulent few years for the Sussexes and their relationship with the Royal Family.
