The cyberattack on Transnet’s computer system, which paralysed the country’s ports, was an act of cyber warfare, according to an expert in this field.

Noëlle van der Waag-Cowling, cyber programme lead at the Security Institute for Governance & Leadership in Africa at Stellenbosch University, spoke about the attack in a North West University Business School webinar.
