U.S. CBP wins “Most Notable Interdiction/Arrest” award for northern border SBI arrests on St. Clair River

In a new GSN award category in 2011, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was selected as winner of the “Most Notable Law Enforcement Interdiction or Arrest” trophy for the dramatic arrest — with the assistance of the U.S. Coast Guard and the police departments of Algonac and Clay Township — of three illegal aliens carrying illegal guns, jewelry and cash who crossed the St. Clair River from Canada into Detroit, MI, in October of 2010. This initial arrest in the Detroit program was followed by a number of others.
