What is the best program for all around computer security?

I’d like to know because i used to be protected with a free trial of mcafee that i got with my computer, but now its expired. i dunno what to do! please help!

    All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.After you install any of them,make sure you update them to get the full affect.

    *Never install more than one anti-virus on your PC, as they may conflict with each other. On the other hand, its always good to install more than one anti-spyware.

    There are more free antivirus programs out there.
    What’s the best of them I don’t know, but Avast and AVG are good.
    I use Norton Internet Security.

    Also try scanning with some antivirus online scanner like http://www.bitdefender.com/
    and a security/antivirus scanner like http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=QVLBZTVOGXFSTZHSZPW&bhcp=1

    You also need a firewall.
    ZoneAlarm has a free one.

    Disable Windows firewall if it’s not disabled automatically.
    That is if you download another firewall.
