What other softwares do I need to “beef” up my computer’s security?

So here is how it goes. Recently I’ve been tagged with the “Vista Internet Security” Malware. Downloaded SUPERAntiSuperware trial version and got rid of it. I got NOD32 but I mean obviously I need a little more “umphhhh” and meat in my security. What other legit softwares out there could I use to protect my computer?

I have:
NOD32 AV
SUPERAntiSpyware (Trial)

Norton Internet Security and Mcafee Internet Security are always good choices. Just buy them at your local electronics store.

SuperAntiSpyware does not protect anything, it’s used after the fact. Install spywareblaster it prevents malware. That and your AntiVirus program and a firewall would be enough. WOT is a good Idea also it will warn you against bad sites.

Keep your windows updated, watch where you surf.

ThreatFire is a good behavior blocker that will work alongside NOD32. If NOD32 misses a piece of malware, ThreatFire will pop up an alert telling you “File X” is attempting to do something suspicious (e.g. connect to the Internet or modify system files).

You can get it at [http://www.threatfire.com/]. It’s free.
