WhatsApp Gets EU Ultimatum to Tell Users How Data Is Handled

WhatsApp was handed a one-month deadline to clarify recent changes to its terms of service and privacy policy and ensure their compliance with European Union consumer protection law.

The move follows concerns over the lack of clear information to consumers on the consequences of their decision to accept or decline the company’s new terms of service, the European Commission said Thursday.
