Which internet security program should I get?
I currently have McAfee on my laptop but am not satisfied with it and as it is about to expire want to try another program instead of renewing it. I read a PC advisor article that tested some different security programs and they concluded that Norton Internet Security was best.
Do you agree?
If not, then what would you recommend?
Norton is OK, but there’s no reason to pay for protection when there are plenty of fine free programs.
Try MSE, or Avast.
I have norton anti virus on mine haven’t had one virus in over a year
I have not been a fan of Norton for personal reasons but everyone is entitled to their opinion
Try Kaspersky Internet Security 2011,have been using their programs for over 6 years now.brilliant.

don’t pay for the renewal get AVG it is totally free and it is one of the best i’ve been using it for 2 years and all my family use it just log onto avg.com and follow links for free version.
The best one is Norton but even the best one won’t provide full protection against everything so always have a backup and restore option in place. If you’re using online banking or have other sensitive data stored you need extra measures in place.
Paid for antivirus suite best of 2011 results:

Free and Paid Antivirus Programs Compared:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/210589/free_vs_fee_free_and_paid_antivirus_programs_compared.html
Note that the test results show that in traditional signature-based detection tests, paid antivirus software that we tested found 96.2 percent of the malware samples overall. By comparison, free products’ scores were ever-so-slightly worse, detecting 95.7 percent of samples
This doesn’t take into account the users technical ability or that any extra precautions have been taken.
The answer to your question is that it depends on your level of technical ability. If you’re not technically minded or don’t want to keep track of what several pieces of software are doing go for Norton.
Best Idea is try out deferent antivirus see pros and cons about them
like how run on computer and how well you like the interface of porgram
