Which Norton Internet Security subscription should I get?
I currently have Norton Internet Security, and my current subscription ends soon. I have the option of renewing the standard Norton Internet Security program for $50, or upgrading to Norton 360 Version 2.0 for $60. Would it be worth the extra $10 to upgrade?
Okay, firstly try keeping away from the Norton products and look for a free version. They will keep away viruses and they are free. Try AVG Free 8.0 and look in the security section of http://www.download.com. Norton sucks.
right norton is sucks i recemend kespersy Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.0.299 Final
you should not renew Norton at all, why spend money if there is a better internet security, i recommend AVG 8.0 free edition, works better, updated daily and lighter on your PC.
trust me any PC i get new, i remove the pre-installed internet security program and install AVG 8.0
the best site to download it is from download.com > avg
None.
Try downloading and running a free adware/virus remover like:
Avast [home edition is FREE] – http://www.avast.com/
It can scan and remove viruses and adware etc from your computer and it will silently run in the background thereafter and immediately alert you to any incoming viruses or suspicious files automatically LIVE as they come in emails or websites etc.
It also automatically updates itself online every day.

I would indeed stay away from Norton. There are plenty of programs much better than Norton.
I did test several different internet security programs over the last 12 months.
Here is my top 4
4th place Kaspesky internet security 2009 – good – 7 out of 10
3rd place Bitdefender Total Security – good – 8 out of 10
2nd place, until 3 weeks ago 1st place
ESET Smart Security – very good 8 1/2 of of 10
I tested Panda Internet Security 2009 and I liked it that much, that it has taken over 1st place. I give it 9 out of 10
I purchased it and is now protecting my computer very successfilly
However, when you want to safe some money and want to protect your computer with free programs. this is a good combination
Anti virus and firewall pro

or
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
in combination with
http://www.pctools.com/firewall/
Threatfire is an anti virus, that can be installed next to any other anti virus program on the same computer

This is a very good program, that completely runs in the background
