Which one is the best antivirus and why? AVG Internet Security or Avast 5 Free?
I have AVG Internet Security and it works well on my pc, but it use up too much ram on my pc. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Please this is no joke and tell me your honest opinion. Thanks.
Any anti-virus is only as good as the last update. As far as best, there is no best, there is what works for you and what you prefer.
Maybe you need to trim the bloat on that program, turn off or de-activate auto updates , auto this and that and do them manually at every boot, making a backup set is also highly suggested.
I went out the windows in 2001, never looked back.
Avast is a better anti-virus. It’s detections rates are excellent and is fairly light on resources.
Personally, I use Avira Antivir Free. It’s done a fantastic job at protecting my computer!

Most anti-virus programs. like Avast and AVG, are not enough. Most people today that get infected today, is from Spyware and other types of Malware. I recommend getting Kaspersky, Malwarebytes Pro, Microsoft Security Essentials or ESET Nod32.
