I just installed Norton and now my computer is running so slow and crashing sometimes too. Is there a setting on Norton that I can change or something so my computer will be normal again?

norton sucks
its a memory hogg
always using cpu
runing in the back ground with 3 to 5 programs of it running
sucks the power out of your computer
waste of money and resources on nortons

norton does require more power then many others. however it could be, too many other processes running or malware installed. and nortons is good, but some malware it won’t see. more ram less things running, could help

Norton is actually one of the lightest running anti-virus programs. The last two years they really improved the impact it has on a computer. This statement can be backed up by all of the independent tests. So you need to find out if something on your computer is causing a conflict. It could be another security program or a old one that was not remove right. You can also go to the Norton forums and see if you can get some help there. I’ve installed Norton Internet Security on over 12 computers in the last year and there where no problems.
But sometimes certain security programs will conflict with something on your computer, and it can be very hard to find the cause, and it’s easier to just try another program. I had problems with Bitdefender, slow my compute to a crawl never could figure it out. http://community.norton.com/norton/
