Will Installing Norton Internet Security Remove The Win 7 Virus From My Computer?

I’m using my sister’s laptop, since my own laptop is infected with the Win 7 virus and it won’t let me on the internet. I’ve been without security for a few months now, and I was wondering if I install Norton Internet Security will it remove the Win 7 virus from my computer?

    How to delete Win 7 Virus Protection files in Windows XP/Vista/7:

    1. Click your Windows Start menu, then click “Search.”
    2. A pop up will ask, “What do you want to search for?” Click “All files and folders.”
    3. Type a Win 7 Virus Protection file in the search box, and select “Local Hard Drives.”
    4. Click “Search.” Once the Win 7 Virus Protection file is found, delete it.

    How to stop Win 7 Virus Protection processes:

    1. Click the Start menu, select Run.
    2. Type taskmgr.exe into the the Run command box, and click “OK.” You can also launch the Task Manager by pressing keys CTRL + Shift + ESC.
    3. Click Processes tab, and find Win 7 Virus Protection processes.
    4. Once you’ve found the Win 7 Virus Protection processes, right-click them and select “End Process” to kill Win 7 Virus Protection.

    No it will not. Norton is just really bad overall. I would suggest you just reformat the entire system to make sure the virus is wiped for good first. This will ensure the virus is gone for good as well as any other virus you may have. Before you do, I would suggest you back up your important files. You can do so with a device known as an IDE/SATA to USB Adapter (google “BT-300 topmicrousa”). This device works really well in situations like these because you are able to back up files without going through the operating system (the thing the virus is running on). It transfers files at speeds around 480mbps which is insanely fast. Its fast, efficient, and durable.

    After you are done backing up all of your files, reformat the hard drive, then recopy the files.
