Indonesia govt trying to restore databases after ransomware attack on data centre

The Indonesian government is still trying to restore databases affected by a cyberattack on a data centre that disrupted public services last week. It’s the worst breach in years, with disruptions affecting immigration services and operations at major airports. The communications ministry said 44 government agencies, including key ministries, were targets of the ransomware attack. The ministry said the attacker had used malicious software called Lockbit 3.0, and demanded a ransom of $8 million. Saifulbahri Ismail reports.
