With devices constantly within reach, be it at work, home, or during travel, hackers now have greater access and opportunities for attacks than ever. From the dangers of malware at public charging stations to security vulnerabilities exposed by Instagram trends, it’s crucial to be vigilant.

Viral ‘Get to Know Me’ Instagram challengesIn the past few years, a trend has emerged among Instagram users, using a template they fill out with their favorite color, age, height, birthdate, tattoos, piercings, phobias, favorite season, artist, place, food and drink. If I’m being honest, I naively hopped on the bandwagon.

The trend gives anyone who views your profile an itemized list of the things that make you, you. While many skeptics claim the danger lies in giving away answers to two-factor security questions, Lisa Plaggemier, the executive director at the National Cybersecurity Alliance told Business Insider, it’s something else they’re after.
