How do I install Norton Internet Security on a Second computer?

2 years ago, I ordered my comp from HP with a 3 year subscription of Norton Internet Security for up to 3 computers, my girlfriends computer is currently running off of free trials, and is running like hell. I looked around on Norton’s site, and all I’m able to find is how to purchase. I have my Keys, I just can’t find a download.

Call Norton (Symantec). Explain the problem to them and they should be able to tell you how you can get the appropriate download. It might be that the trial version will let you enter a registration code. Try calling 800-441-7234 to get service.

On the other hand, you might also consider that Norton is a VERY heavy piece of software. It take a huge amount of system resources for the “protection” that it provides. I’ve seen many instances where having Norton installed was part of the problem when it comes to slowness. So you might *try* (good luck) removing Norton from her computer and installing Avast or AVG for virus scanning and using the built-in Windows firewall. You can pick up Spybot, MalwareBytes, or AdAware to take care of Adware/Spyware. These are all free software and are all pretty lightweight and very effective.

    Hello,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.

If you purchased a 3 user license and have not installed Norton Internet Security on 3 computers, all you have to do is download the latest installer by selecting the “Download” button under Norton Internet Security from the link below.During the installation you will be prompted to enter an Activation Key and you will use the same Activation Key.

Also, since you appear to have a valid subscription, you are entitled to a free update to the 2009 version of Norton Internet Security on the computer that already has Norton installed. Please NOTE, while this process will update you to the latest version of Norton Internet Security, it will not extend your subscription. To update, please visit the Norton Update Center at the link below.
