We all know the Supreme Court is important yet only 1 in 3 can answer this question

The question was posed by Pew Research to 3,147 people in a nationally representative survey: “There are nine justices on the Supreme Court of the United States. How many are women?”

Only 33% gave the correct response – three: Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan – which is actually a lot worse than it looks since this was multiple choice and there were only four numbers from which to choose. Twenty-five percent were going to be correct if they closed their eyes and threw spitballs.

Which means that virtually no one in this country could actually name all nine men and women who this year will decide the futures of marriage equality and affordable healthcare, among other important issues.
