CIS Mobile Hires Industry Veteran Chris Chroniger to Lead Secure Mobility Support Efforts


ASHBURN, Va., July 8, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — CIS Mobile, a mobile security leader, today announces the hiring of veteran industry executive Christopher (Chris) Chroniger, to develop and oversee its customer-facing and program management efforts. Chris will be responsible for the development, implementation and operation of all customer support and delivery activities for the rapidly growing altOS secure mobility platform. In this role, Chris will report directly to Dr. Bill Anderson, President of CIS Mobile.

Prior to joining CIS Mobile, Chroniger served as Chief Technology Officer for GAP Solutions – where he was responsible for the development, implementation and operation of the company’s solutions and technology services. In his work at GAP – a SystemOne Company – Chris led successful new business capture and delivery across multiple areas of expertise. Chris also established GAP’s Communities of Interest (COI) to support internal requirements for collaboration and team engagement. Chris was a key business driver for GAP’s work at the US Food and Drug Administration’s Enterprise Services and Solutions Division Modernization Program.

Prior to his work at GAP, Chris served as Chief Technology Officer for Maximus (formerly Acentia), NetStar-1 and Vice President, Strategic Technologies & Services for Dimension Data US (formerly TimeBridge Technologies). Chris also held key technological support roles at the Executive Office of the President and NASA.

Chris is an active member at ACTI-IAC, Washington Executive IoT Council and previously was Chair of the IPv6 Working Group.

SentinelOne Bolsters Global Engineering Organization with Veteran Leadership | Business

SentinelOne, an autonomous cybersecurity platform company, today announced the appointment of Siggi Petursson as Vice President, Customer-Centric Engineering and Martin Matula as Vice President, Engineering, Czech Republic Site Lead. Petursson brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity and software engineering leadership experience to SentinelOne, most recently holding the position of Sr. Director of Software Engineering at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL). At Oracle, Petursson played a critical role in enabling the company’s software migration from on-premises to the cloud, designing machine learning systems to ensure quality control of cloud-based products. Petursson also spearheaded the company’s Security-as-a-Service solution, an automated solution that scanned products for security vulnerabilities and provided auto-triaging capabilities. At SentinelOne, Petursson will drive product quality assurance and lead the company’s sustaining engineering team.

Matula comes to SentinelOne from Avast, where he was VP of Engineering at the company’s Czech Republic headquarters, responsible for leading an engineering organization spanning multiple locations in EMEA and the US, delivering endpoint, IoT, and mobile security solutions. Prior to Avast, Matula held regional engineering leadership positions at companies including Cisco and GoodData. At SentinelOne, Matula will lead engineering team growth in the Czech Republic, expanding throughout central and eastern Europe.

Roxbury Marine Corps Veteran Honored by Morris County, Senator & Roxbury


The Morris County Freeholders joined state Senator Anthony Bucco and Roxbury Mayor Robert DeFillippo today in bestowing honors on Veteran Jonathan Snyder of Succasunna, a cyber-security and cyber warfare expert whose talents were applied during his 15 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and his continuing service with the New Jersey Army National Guard.

Snyder, already decorated numerous times by the military, received the new honors at a small ceremony inside the township council chambers at the Roxbury Township Municipal Building, where he was joined by his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Scarlett, 5 years old. They also have a 1-year-old son, Sean, who remained home with his grandmother.

“Less than one percent of our American population puts on the uniform of our country to protect us, and you chose to wear that uniform and join that small group of men and women,” said Senator Bucco. “I’m here to today to say thank you for your service and to present to you a Joint Senate and Assembly Citation recognizing your years of service of protecting our country and keeping it safe. Snyder, who has been working in cyber security since leaving the Marines in 2015, is now a Senior Director for a leading cyber-security and consulting firm. He joined the Marines in January 2001, and he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in June 2005, serving in combat operations until May 2006. He was later deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in June 2011, serving until July 2012.

“You served 15 years in the United States Marine Corps participating in combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. You also spent three years of that service working on Counter-terrorism probes, as well as National Security and Criminal Cyber intrusions,” said Freeholder Kathryn DeFillippo, a Roxbury resident. “You also have continued your service by remaining in the New Jersey Army National Guard.
