How to find security key for my computer to connect to laptop?
i don’t remember typing any security code in when the men came to my house and just hooked my Computer up and ready to go . the only thing i did to my computer was create a new account thing ( what ever its called ] and typed in the password does anybody know what security key they might be talking about ? so i can connect my laptop to my internet
The default password for my wireless network is my home phone number, including the area code.
The key is probably a WEP key which is the access code for your router to allow a gateway through it to the internet.
Open up a browser then type 192.168.1.1 into the address line this will (should) log you into your router and there you can get the WEP key to enter into your connection request box
the password is part of your security,but get an anti virus programme .the shop where you got the computer will recommend a good one ,or a good free one from the net
