How do I go about disabling every security program on my computer?

I have Windows Vista. I run Norton Protection Center with Internet Security. I need to disable them so I can do something real quick but I cant seem to find the option to do it. The only thing I can control is my firewall. If you ask me thats bullshit. I should be able to control every aspect of this computer considering I paid for it.
