TSA sets new AIT machines for 29 airports

TSA will deploy some of the Advanced Imaging Technology scanners it bought in September to a long list of airports in the coming months.

The agency said on Oct. 6, that 29 airports across the U.S. would receive millimeter wave AIT machines that will come equipped with its new automated target recognition software that eliminates passenger-specific images and replaces them with generic body images coupled with more generic warnings areas.
