This PC backup and security app bundle is on sale for 73% off

TL;DR: The PC Transfer Kit Bundle is on sale for £27.75, saving you 73% on list price.

It might be a while before your new computer feels as familiar as the old one. Whether it’s apps you haven’t downloaded yet or files you lost when your old machine failed, it can take some time to get acclimated to a new computer. That is, unless you use a few apps that practically let you copy everything you need onto your new one.

The PC Transfer Kit features three apps: PCmover Professional, DiskImage, and SafeErase. Between these three apps, you can move your files and apps from one computer to another, create a bootable copy of everything on a computer, and securely delete your files. Normally, lifetime subscriptions to these three apps would cost around £100, but you can get them for £27.75.

This bundle gives you three lifetime licenses to be installed. Each app can be installed on one computer with no recurring costs.

If you’re getting a new computer, PCmover Pro could be a major time saver. This app lets you automate a transfer of practically all your data from one computer to another. Send your applications, files, settings, and user profiles from one computer to another. Pick things out individually to transfer or send everything at once. Plus, if you need help at any stage of the transfer, you get free transfer assistance from a certified migration expert.

DiskImage is more than a backup service. Use this app to create a copy of all your applications, files, and settings on your PC. Set DiskImage to copy automatically on a schedule or arrange it manually whenever you want. Once your copy is made, you can store it on a bootable external storage source.

You can also permanently delete files using SafeErase’s government-recommended deletion methods that completely wipe selected data from your hard drive. Clear your browser history, files, email archives, internet history, and even photos in moments. Select individual files to delete or do a blanket wipe.

Tesla Fire Sale in China Fails: Buyers Ignore The Texas Discount Brand

Recently the Tesla CEO has tried to argue the market with the most buyers in the world is completely hostile to his brand.

You’d think he was talking about China.

He has been repeatedly throwing bigger and bigger discounts there to try and find someone interested in buying his old and sagging cars.

Tesla cut prices in China for the second time in three months, as demand for its cars falters. Elon Musk’s EV maker discounted its cars by up to 13.5%…

Huge price cuts and huge payouts aren’t enough, apparently; Chinese don’t like the Texas discount car brand and for good reasons.

But actually the CEO was talking about California.

…attorneys representing Tesla and Musk argue that the CEO has garnered extensive and negative publicity in California…

His augment is basically that when he does dumb things that make him unpopular (e.g. fraud, repeatedly caught lying and cheating) he should be judged only by people who he thinks like him (who he gives money).

This looks and sounds like a criminal’s getaway plan.

Beg for billions from the government of California, then beg Texas and China to take in the ill-gotten money in exchange for protection from California.

Tesla has received more than $3.2 billion worth of direct and indirect California subsidies and market mechanisms since 2009…

It reminds me of when Uber got into trouble with San Francisco authorities (due to fraud including misleading statements about safety, similar to Tesla).

They then very publicly announced their exit to “more friendly” Arizona, where they subsequently (very predictably) killed a pedestrian and were completely shut down. It never recovered, even in San Francisco.

The Tesla CEO this would be lucky to be tried for his alleged crimes in California, given its more modern justice system and long-term government investments.

Texas and China, like Arizona almost instantly flipping on Uber, have nothing to lose from sending the recently arrived outsider straight to the gallows.

AIIMS ransomware attack: Key patient data at risk of leak, sale on Dark Web, says experts : The Tribune India

New Delhi, November 26

With the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, still struggling to get its servers up and running after a massive ransomware attack earlier this week, cyber-security researchers on Saturday said the most reported attacks in the healthcare industry, which rose during the pandemic, involve the leak or sale of databases on the Dark Web.

The exploited databases contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of patients and healthcare workers, as well as administrative information such as blood donor records, ambulance records, vaccination records, caregiver records, login credentials, etc.

“Government agencies involved in the healthcare industry should abide by HIPAA’s (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance requirements, create awareness among users regarding cyber-attacks, online scams, and phishing campaigns, set up policies for secure passwords and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA),” a spokesperson of AI-driven cyber-security firm CloudSEK told IANS.

The cyber attack on AIIMS shut down its main and back-up servers.

The attackers hacked the e-hospital service which manages the patient data system, affecting the outpatient department (OPD) and sample collection services.

Those behind the cyber attack have warned AIIMS to “prepare for a negotiation”.

Delhi Police are investigating the cyber attack.

Meanwhile, AIIMS officials said that all affected online patient services are now being run on manual mode.

According to CloudSEK, a massive spike in cyberattacks on healthcare organisations has been witnessed during the pandemic.

“Our research shows that in the first four months of 2022, the number of cyberattacks on the industry rose by 95.34 per cent compared to the same period in 2021. The Indian healthcare sector was the second most targeted when it comes to cyberattacks worldwide,” the company spokesperson said.

Protecting patients’ medical and financial information has emerged as a new challenge for healthcare organisations.

According to Indusface, an application security SaaS company, there were more than 1 million cyber attacks of…
