If you have a high speed internet connection you will need Internet Security software. Internet Secuirty software offers antivirus, spyware, malware and firewall protection. I would recommend F-Secure, Norton and Kaspersky.

Microsoft security essentials is free and will do a decent job for you. Malwarebytes will take care of you and use ccleaner to get rid of the garbage on your computer and keep your registry in line. good luck.

    Good question. :)

I’ll let you take your pick becuase there are 4 great internet security suites.
    Kaspersky Internet Security
    Norton Internet Security
    Panda Internet Security
    ESET Smart Security

I currently use Kaspersky, and I’ve tried the latest version of Norton. I know that Panda works because I’ve used it before and a friend of mine that has sells it and uses it tells me that it’s way faster and better than before, and I’ve read several reviews on ESET.

It really depends on the things you do on your computer.
Kaspersky is great, but some people complain about the cost, which at the moment is irrelevant because with their holiday sell it’s currently the cheapest one.
Norton is great, but it doesn’t have as many features as Kaspersky.
Panda is great, but has a terrible costumer support because it’s an European security software.
ESET is great specially because it uses very low resources, but it lacks on antiphishing.

So if you just want the best protection. Any of those will work. I can’t test their detection rates, but I’ve read several reviews on each, which lead me to the conclusion that all of them are good.

With that said, I’m sure that you’re looking for the best one to protect your computer and probably the best for your pocket too. So I’m going to recommend Kaspersky Internet Security.
