Samsung Galaxy A53 gets December 2022 security update


A few days ago, Samsung released the December 2022 security update to the Galaxy A53 in the US. Now, the update is reaching other markets, including Asian and European countries. We are less than a week from the end of 2022, and Samsung has released the new security update just in time.

The latest Galaxy A53 5G software update is rolling out in Europe with firmware version A536BXXU4BVL2. The update brings the December 2022 security patch that fixes nearly 100 security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements. The update is currently available in Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the UK.

In Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, the Galaxy A53 is getting the December 2022 security patch with firmware version A536EXXU4BVL3.

If you own a Galaxy A53 and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, you can use the manual firmware flashing method. To do that, you should first download the new firmware file from our firmware database.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G alongside the Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A73 5G earlier this year with Android 12 onboard. The Galaxy A53 5G received the Android 13 update a few weeks ago. It will get three more Android OS updates in the future.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G gets December 2022 security update in the US


The Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52s 5G received the new security patch a few days ago. Now, the update has arrived for the Galaxy A52 5G’s carrier-unlocked version in the US. The carrier-locked version of the phone should also get the update soon in the country.

The latest software update for the carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy A52 5G is rolling out in the US. The update comes bearing firmware version A526U1UES7CVL1 and includes the December 2022 security patch. It fixes 93 security vulnerabilities found in Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy A52 5G user in the US with a carrier-unlocked model, you can install the new update on your phone. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G in the US in early 2021 with Android 11 onboard. It received the Android 12 update earlier this year and could get the Android 13 update in the US within the next few weeks.

After rolling out the Android 13 update to various smartphones and tablets over the past couple of months, Samsung has released a new security update to a bunch of Galaxy devices. The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE is now getting the December 2022 security update in the US.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware version G990USQS4DVL1. The update is currently available on Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US, and it could be released on other networks in the country. The update brings the December 2022 security patch that fixes 93 security vulnerabilities.

If you live in the US and have a carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE, you can now install the new update on your phone by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also install the latest update by downloading the firmware from our firmware database and flashing it manually.
