What is the best way to keep it safe? Keep in mind, I want to download some music, video, photo editing software, and I will be on gamer forums where there is tons of spyware and viruses. I will be putting whatever security system I have to the test. I will be using a very fast cable connection, but I don’t want my security stuff to slow the computer down. Anytime I’ve ever tried MacAphee it’s always slowed the computer down so much and offered little protection. The computer I’m on now went for about two yrs without a firewall, except for the windows firewall that obviously does nothing. My dad never got the concept of having a firewall. To him as long as you had Spybot S&D and Adaware you were ok. We’ve tried many things and finally I convinced my dad to get a firewall. He got CA Security Suite. Is it any good? Also he has A macaphee firewall on his new vista laptop. shoould I convince him to get some new stuff for it?
