Huawei P40 series grabbing May 2022 HarmonyOS update


Huawei is planning to launch the massive version of HarmonyOS 3.0 as well as the mobile phone version of OpenHarmony 3.1 by September this year. Well, that says a new leak by the Weibo Blogger Factory Director Shi Guan.

The leaker further suggests that terminal products that equip the open-source Hongmeng system are also under observation. In other words, the company is making efforts to accelerate the OpenHarmony system-related technologies to benefit the tech makers in the time ahead.

HarmonyOS 3.0

Earlier, Huawei officially reported launching the HarmonyOS 3.0 Beta in the month of March. Following the statement, the Chinese tech maker also added to release the stable build by the end of the second quarter of this year. However, things do not work always, as decided.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series starts receiving the May 2022 security update


What you need to know

  • Samsung has begun rolling out the May 2022 update to the Galaxy S22 series.
  • The update appears to only include the latest Android security patch.
  • It is currently rolling out to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variants in Asia, and will likely expand in the coming days and weeks.

Samsung has made a habit of updating its flagship smartphones to the latest security patch ahead of other Android devices and often before we enter the corresponding month. May is no different, as the company has already started rolling out the May update to its Galaxy S22 series.

The new update is arriving for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant of the Galaxy S22 series has so far been spotted in several Asian countries, including India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and the Phillippines.

There doesn’t appear to be anything particularly interesting arriving with the update aside from a bump to the latest Android security patch. For now, there are no details on what is included in the patch, although fortunately, the pesky “Dirty Pipe” vulnerability was already patched with the April update.

Visakhapatnam: IG suspends night round officer after series of house break-ins at Tummapala


Inspector General of Police, Visakha Range, L.K.V. Ranga Rao, on Sunday suspended an Assistant Sub-inspector, who was the night duty officer in Tummapala region under Anakapalle (Town) Police Station limits, after a series of house break-ins were committed in the village during the early hours of Friday.

The DIG warned that action would be taken against any police officer, if he/she was found negligent in their duties. He also said that special teams were deputed to investigate the case, and assured the victims that the accused would be arrested at the earliest.

A group of unidentified miscreants have allegedly stolen ₹1.30 lakh from two houses and the panchayat office at Tummapala. They also reportedly attempted to commit thefts in five more houses. Superintendent of Police B. Krishna Rao visited the crime scene and gave suggestions to the officials.

Mr. Ranga Rao said that the police have been collecting the details of ex-offenders and persons who were released from jails recently from in and around the district. The DIG also asked the police personnel to check the history of suspicious persons, by utilising Finger Print Identification System and Mobile Security Check Device while performing their duties either during the day or at night.

‘Patrolling intensified’

He also sought cooperation from the local people of Anakapalle to inform the police, if they find any person, moving suspiciously. He said that patrolling has been intensified at vulnerable places like dhabas, hotels, liquor stores, highways, railway stations and bus stations.
