How long does it take Verizon Internet Security Suite to run a deep scan?

I have Verizon internet, and I was recently hit by a small blitz of trojan viruses. I now prefer to run a deep scan with Verizon Internet Security Suite (VISS,) but I don’t know how long it takes. How long does it take? Also, should I keep the computer running while the scan is being performed?
